How to campaign safely

These are unsettling times for us all, particularly the most vulnerable in our society. The most important thing you can do right now is to keep yourself, and the wider community, safe. If we are to be effective climate activists in the future, we need to look after our physical and mental wellbeing now.

Due to the ongoing crisis we are extending our recommendation that you do not hold or plan any gatherings until the end of June. This may well need to be extended further and we are keeping this under constant review.

While some of us may want or need to stop taking action altogether, we know others will want to carry on – either by supporting their community during the pandemic or by adapting their existing climate campaigning. We’ve created resources (such as Zoom guidance) to help you do both.

As a network, we will support one another and those in our communities as best we can. If you have any questions or a suggestion on how we can support you, please email

Stay connected

It’s more important than ever that we stay connected in this time of social distancing and self isolation.

These online calls are an opportunity to meet other campaigners and learn about tools you can use to campaign at home and online.
