We have 250+ Climate Action groups across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Use the search bar to find one near you. If you're looking for a group in Scotland, head to foe.scot
Each group has the freedom to set its own priorities and agendas, and group actions can range from lobbying local representatives on greener transport solutions to planting more trees in the neighbourhood.
Similarly, the roles in each group vary depending on what's needed. We encourage you to email your nearest group to find out how you can contribute.
No! We'll offer you training and resources to help you with your campaigning. And if you have any particular skillsets you think may benefit the group, let them know. For example:

- Organisational skills, etc.

By young people, for young people! Join us at our Youth Gathering on Fri 1 – Sun 3 July. Expect workshops and fun for 16-25 year olds passionate about climate, social and environmental justice. More information about our Youth Gathering.
Congratulations to Catford who had a successful relaunch. An attendee from the Mayor's office came to enjoy the event, which involved talks around climate justice, youth speakers and the unveiling of an art project.
Sefton Climate Action are currently petitioning their council to extend legal protection to local green spaces.
Greater Manchester COP26 coalition have organised an event: Manchester Climate Justice Summit which takes place on Sun 15 May, 11am-4pm. This summit will look at issues of just transition and climate justice relating to sustainable cities. Book now.
Climate Action Bury have launched their online climate action hub, so that people can get involved in climate action locally and share climate related stories. Check out their new climate action hub.
Two new groups in London! A massive welcome to Barking and Southwark groups.
Nature based grants! Grants of up to £1000 are available for community groups who want to: try a new approach, or work with communities disproportionately impacted by a poor environment/typically under-represented in nature-based work. Applications open until 1st May.
The Race Equality Centre and Leicester Friends of the Earth hosted a brilliant lunch time talk for the network. We heard about their inspiring partnership work, and the importance of being actively anti-racist when dealing with climate and environmental issues.
Thanet Friends of the Earth are hosting Kent Green Jobs Summit on Tue 29 Mar, 6.30-8.30pm. Hear about the huge green jobs and skills opportunities for Kent, and take part in the discussion on what action is needed to make this a reality for all. Book your place.

The Croydon Green Network, including Croydon Climate Action, Greenpeace, Sustainable Thornton Heath, Crystal Palace Transition Town and XR, have worked together to develop the Croydon Mayor’s Climate Crisis Pledge and are inviting Croydon mayoral candidates to support it.

Andy Burnham, Mayor of Greater Manchester is hosting a climate meeting of international Mayoral leaders on 7-8 June in Manchester, following on from an event at COP26.
Thanks to campaigning from Brent Friends of the Earth, Birchen Grove Garden Centre have agreed to promote peat-free products in their centre and are putting up signs recommending peat-free gardening. They will phase out peat products in advance of the general ban in 2024.
Barnet Friends of the Earth have outlined their vision for Net Zero Carbon 2030 in their borough and have assessed what their local authority has to do to help them achieve their goal.
